Begum Khaleda Zia led the first government in Bangladesh’s democratic history to complete a full 5-year elected term.

Achieved average GDP growth above 6%, formed the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and revolutionized telecom and highway infrastructure.

Passed the Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2004, replacing the former government bureau with an independent statutory Commission empowered to investigate public sector corruption.
