PM Inaugurates Naval and Air Force Selection Boards 2026

Prior to the commencement of the selection boards, the Prime Minister conferred the rank badge of Admiral on the Chief of Naval Staff, Khondkar Misbah-ul-Azim, and congratulated him. The Navy Chief expressed gratitude on behalf of the Bangladesh Navy and sought continued guidance to further modernize and strengthen the force. The Prime Minister's Defense Adviser, the chiefs of the armed forces, and the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division were also present.

In his address, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the Proclaimer of Independence, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. He also honored the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War, those who sacrificed their lives in the 2024 mass uprising, and all individuals who contributed to the struggle for democracy and citizens' rights over the years.
